Unleash Your Inner Strength: Overcoming Adversity and Embracing Personal Growth

We all have a unique journey with positive and adverse life events. But here’s the thing: no one should be defined by their worst moments. I speak from personal experience.

Growing up in a household with mental illness, and alcoholism, my family and I endured violence and turmoil. Yet, we refused to let this define us.

Life took an unexpected turn when I became paralyzed at the age of 15. Everyone else created a list of things I would never do, I forgot to read it. Despite this setback, I never stopped fighting for a life. I knew education was my only hope. I fought my way through high school and borrowed money to go to college. Higher education was my only way to a future. After my accident, I earned multiple college degrees, taught college broadcasting classes, rocked the Southeast as a mobile DJ, and built an incredible civilian career with the United States Air Force. My paralysis became the fuel that ignited my passion for life.

Another Blow

But when things were going well, life dealt me another blow. A bone infection shattered everything I had worked for. However, this setback led me to discover how to fulfill my true purpose: helping others. As I became healthier, I transitioned into dedicating my life to assisting others overcome their obstacles.

During the past ten years, I studied holistic medicine while fighting my bone infection to repair frayed connections in the mind, body, and spirit. I earned certifications in the Science of Well-being, Positive Psychology, and Functional Medicine Health and Wellness Coaching. I will soon earn a Master’s in Health Psychology. I have increasingly begun to understand the profound connection between mind, body, and spirit. When connected this connection gives us the power to become the best versions of ourselves.

Lifting others up is part of my DNA, but it took years of personal struggles to truly empathize with the pain of others. Together, we can conquer life’s challenges and unleash your true potential. I believe that no one should be judged solely by their pain, but by the person they can become.
